Alternative therapies

Alternative therapies are treatment methods that have so far been lacking scientific evidence. Such alternative therapies are increasingly being used for diseases that cannot be cured with conventional treatment methods, with the spectrum of treatment approaches ranging from stone medicine and orthomolecular medicine to acupuncture and herbal medicine. For some originally alternative therapies, scientific proof of effectiveness has already been provided over the course of time, such as with the active ingredients of many medicinal plants, and they can therefore no longer be assigned to alternative therapies in the narrower sense.
